“Squadra vincente non si cambia”

Millet Tour du Rutor Extrême, la più tecnica e alpinistica delle gare scialpinistiche italiane in programma l’ultimo week end di marzo (sabato 28 e domenica 29) sulle vette valdostane di La Thuile, Valgrisenche e Arvier, continua la propria partnership con il prestigioso brand transalpino. Una collaborazione decennale consolidata pochi giorni fa dalla firma del nuovo contratto di sponsorizzazione. «Sono molto orgoglioso di continuare ad associare il nostro marchio a questo storico evento di scialpinismo – ha dichiarato Romain Millet, CEO di Millet Mountain Group – I tracciati d’alta montagna, proposti dalle guide Marco Camandona e Roger Bovard (n.d.r. atleti del Team Millet) sono semplicemente maestosi. Il momento clou che ogni concorrente sogna è senza dubbio l’attraversamento del ghiacciaio del Rutor. Non vedo l’ora di sostenere i partecipanti quest’anno durante il briefing di venerdì 27 marzo».
 
Nel frattempo le iscrizioni per la finale 2026 di La Grande Course vanno a gonfie vele con oltre 160 squadre già accreditate.  La 22ª edizione, la più “extrême” delle gare scialpinistiche italiane andrà in scena nella consueta formula a squadre spalmate su due giornate. Confermatissima sia la traversata del Ghiacciaio del Rutor, sia la classica tappa domenicale a Planaval; due tapponi con un totale di 5000 m di dislivello positivo, almeno 20 cambi di assetto, 50 km di gara (35 di salite, 15 di free ride), 3 km di creste e canali con passaggi oltre i 3000 metri di quota.
 
Se gli atleti del settore assoluto gareggeranno a coppie, per i giovani (U20, U18 e U16)  le gare saranno individuali. Per loro il comitato organizzatore ha pensato un prologo a Valgrisenche per il sabato pomeriggio e la classica tappa di Château Blanc il giorno successivo. Gli Under 14 e Under 12 gareggiano solo sabato pomeriggio a Valgrisenche. Domenica potranno invece tifare giovani e senior e seguire dal vivo i loro beniamini. In vero “TDR Style” è stato previsto un super pacco gara per tutti.
 
Per chi non ama le sfide con il cronometro, anche quest’anno nella giornata di domenica verrà riproposta l’iniziativa “Team TDRX85” (il nome, ovviamente, si rifà alla larghezza degli sci da turismo). Con partenza da Planaval gli amatori potranno partire in piena autonomia tra le 6:30 fino e le 9:30 e arrivare alla Base del Ghiacciaio dello Château Blanc (2760 mt); 1250 mt up di full immersion nella natura incontaminata della “Valgrisa” per seguire le fasi salienti della gara e ritirare il tagliandino “finisher”. I primi 200 si aggiudicheranno come gadget bellissimo zaino Millet da 22L. Se non l’avete ancora fatto… Iscrivetevi!!

“Winning team never changes”

The Millet Tour du Rutor Extrême, the most technical and mountaineering-focused ski mountaineering race in Italy, scheduled for the last weekend of March (Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th) across the peaks of La Thuile, Valgrisenche and Arvier in the Aosta Valley, continues its partnership with the prestigious French brand. This decade-long collaboration was recently renewed with the signing of a new sponsorship agreement.

Meanwhile, registrations for the 2026 final of La Grande Course are progressing strongly, with over 160 teams already confirmed. The 22nd edition, the most “extreme” among Italian ski mountaineering races, will take place in the traditional team format over two days. Both the crossing of the Rutor Glacier and the classic Sunday stage in Planaval are confirmed: two demanding stages totaling 5,000 meters of positive elevation gain, at least 20 transitions, 50 km of racing (35 km uphill and 15 km downhill/free ride), and 3 km of ridges and couloirs with sections above 3,000 meters in altitude.

While senior elite athletes will compete in pairs, youth categories (U20, U18 and U16) will race individually. For them, the organizing committee has planned a prologue in Valgrisenche on Saturday afternoon and the classic Château Blanc stage the following day. Under 14 and Under 12 athletes will compete only on Saturday afternoon in Valgrisenche. On Sunday, they will be able to cheer alongside seniors and watch their favorites live. In true “TDR Style,” a generous race pack will be provided for all participants.

For those who prefer not to race against the clock, the “Team TDRX85” initiative will return again this year on Sunday (the name, of course, refers to the width of touring skis). Starting from Planaval, amateur participants can set off independently between 6:30 am and 9:30 am and reach the base of the Château Blanc Glacier (2,760 m): 1,250 meters of elevation gain immersed in the unspoiled nature of Valgrisenche, with the chance to follow key race moments and collect the “finisher” token. Le Millet Tour du Rutor Extreme, la plus technique et alpiniste des competitions de ski-alpinisme italiennes, programme le dernier week-end de mars (samedi 28 et dimanche 29) sur les sommets valdotains de La Thuile, Valgrisenche et Arvier, poursuit son partenariat avec la prestigieuse marque transalpine. Une collaboration decennale consolidee il y a quelques jours par la signature d’un nouveau contrat de sponsoring.

Parallelement, les inscriptions pour la finale 2026 de La Grande Course progressent a plein regime, avec plus de 160 equipes deja accreditees. La 22e edition, la plus extreme des competitions italiennes de ski-alpinisme, se deroulera selon la formule traditionnelle par equipes sur deux journees. Sont confirmees la traversee du glacier du Rutor ainsi que l’etape classique du dimanche a Planaval : deux etapes exigeantes pour un total de 5000 metres de denivele positif, au moins 20 changements d’equipement, 50 km de course (35 km de montee et 15 km de descente free ride), 3 km d’aretes et de couloirs avec des passages au dela des 3000 metres d’altitude.

Si les athletes de la categorie senior courront par equipes de deux, les jeunes (U20, U18 et U16) concourront en individuel. Pour eux, le comite d’organisation a prevu un prologue a Valgrisenche le samedi apres-midi et l’etape classique du Chateau Blanc le lendemain. Les categories U14 et U12 ne courront que le samedi apres-midi a Valgrisenche. Le dimanche, ils pourront encourager jeunes et seniors et suivre en direct leurs favoris. Dans le plus pur TDR Style, un riche paquet de course est prevu pour tous.

Pour ceux qui n’aiment pas les defis contre le chronometre, l’initiative Team TDRX85 sera a nouveau proposee le dimanche. Au depart de Planaval, les amateurs pourront partir en autonomie entre 6h30 et 9h30 et rejoindre la base du glacier du Chateau Blanc (2760 m) : 1250 metres de denivele positif en immersion totale dans la nature preservee de Valgrisenche, avec la possibilite de suivre les moments cles de la course et de recuperer le badge finisher. Les 200 premiers inscrits recevront en cadeau un sac a dos Millet de 22 L. Si vous ne l’avez pas encore fait, inscrivez-vous.
